What Is Anxiety?

Living with anxiety can feel like being trapped in a constant state of worry, fear, and unease. It can manifest in various ways, including racing thoughts, physical symptoms like rapid heartbeat and shortness of breath, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, and trouble sleeping. We understand the toll it can take on your well-being, relationships, and overall quality of life and we want you to know it can be better.

Anxiety is a natural response triggered by the brain’s perception of a potential threat or danger, activating the body’s “fight-or-flight” response.

When experiencing anxiety, the brain releases stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline, preparing the body to respond to the perceived threat.

Although anxiety is a natural response, when it becomes persistent and starts interfering with your daily life, it can become extremely difficult to manage.
